Draw a rectangle ADBC. With diagonal AB that you want to divide by n.
Draw the other diagonal.
Where they intersect, draw a line perpendicular to the rectangle (vertical line E)
Draw CE
Where CE and AB intersect, draw a perpendicular to the same side of the rectangle.
Continue in this manner. The diagram shows the segments that are produced. The fractions are in terms of AB.
