To divide a line segment (AB) by n, draw a line segment of any length starting from A. Mark off n congruent segments on this line. (The green circles do this). Draw a line segment from the ending point of these circles (in this case the lowest point on this diagram(let's call it M)) to B. From each intermitent point, draw a line from it to AB with a congruent angle equal to angle AMB (M is not shown). The lines you just drew divide AB into "n" parts This diagram illustrates the division for the specific case of n = 11. Note that the circles can be of any size and the angle between the two lines can be anything (except 180°)
