To bisect a line segment (AB) with only a compass, draw an arc around B with radius AB. Using the same radius the entire time, mark off three arcs on the first arc. Using point A as center and AB as radius, draw an arc up. Using point E as center, and EA as radius, draw an arc up to point G. Draw an arc with radius AB to intersect AB at F. F bisects AB.
