The Geometer's Sketchpad is a computer program that can be used to model geometric figures and is mainly used for creating constructions. I used it for making nearly all of the constructions on this entire website. It is clear, concise, easy-to-use, and an incredible tool for making interactive pictures and drawings. If you decide to get The Geometer's Sketchpad, I recommend the "Student Edition". Though you have to pay for it, you will be able to save your work and export it to other places, like a website. The Teacher's Evaluation Edition is mainly for evaluation of student work in a classroom and is free on most websites. It makes a good shareware edition, but eventually you should upgrade to the Student Edition for maximum capability. It is an overall excellent program but requires you to keep the CD in the drive to start it up.

In the Student Edition, you can draw geometric figures, move parts of them around, measure them, graph, and program special tools. Many of the simpler constructions such as making a parallel line are already built-in, so you don't need to know a lot about geometry. Of course, you will learn quickly if you play around with it often, or you can use this page for reference.
